Hi, I’m Kate Wardwell.
My husband and I have been in full-time ministry for 19 years, of those 19, I have spent 16 as a freelance creative for churches all over the country. Currently, we pastor Newhope in Seattle, WA – we have 5 campuses around the South Sound area and on the peninsula! In years previous, we were youth pastors for 12 years, and church planters for 7 years. Our most recent assignment previously was at a church that we planted in Bricktown, Oklahoma City in 2015, called The Bridge. Here I served as full time volunteer Creative Director while working for churches all over the country through my own agency, Kindred Creative.
My passion is providing affordable and custom creative resources for church ministries. Beyond that, the mission of Kindred is not only to provide the resource, but to build the relationship with the client and walk beside them as they implement the creative elements to accomplish the vision of their ministry or organization. Over the past 16 years, i have had the honor to work with hundreds of churches, helping them to clearly communicate their message – it has been like living a dream.
My number one goal is to be easy to work and communicate with. You will not be left waiting for me to respond. I give you my personal cell phone and email that you have direct access to me and no question is too small. I love branding, sermon series design is my favorite, website design and organization get me up in the morning, and social media makes my heart race!

Individual Project:
This option is great if you just need a couple of things designed and you know that you do not have any “on-going needs”.
Monthly/Annual Retainer:
Perfect for on-going consulting/design projects. As a retainer client, your needs and requests go to the top of my list every single time. You have access to my personal cell phone and can even text your requests. The goal is that you have all the convenience of an on staff Creative Pastor at a fraction of the budget.
